West MacDonnell Ranges, Desert Park

Departing Alice Springs, journey to the rugged but beautiful West MacDonnell National Park to explore Simpsons Gap. Continue on to the site of Angkerle (Standley Chasm) where you can take the opportunity to walk into this stunning natural feature. Marvel at the sheer vertical walls towering above you, just five metres apart. Later visit the Alice Springs Desert Park. Wander around the interactive exhibits detailing Australian desert habitats and the wildlife that lives there. At the Desert Park there's also the chance to learn more about the Indigenous history of this land. Lx1
