Day 1: Kata Tjuta (the Olgas)
On arrival at Ayers Rock Airport you will be transferred to your hotel (flights to arrive prior to 1.00pm). This afternoon travel to Kata Tjuta. Enjoy a 2-3 hour walk through the domes to the Valley of the Winds (for those with a good level of fitness). Enjoy an outback sunset followed by a complimentary glass of sparkling wine and nibbles. Travel to our barbecue venue to enjoy a delicious barbecue dinner and stargazing (weather permitting). Enquire about vegetarian meals at time of booking.
Accommodation: Outback Pioneer Budget Rooms (L), Outback Pioneer Hotel (R), Desert Gardens Hotel (F) or Sails in the Desert Hotel (S), Ayers Rock Resort, 2 nights. D
Day 2: Uluru (Ayers Rock)
This morning join the Uluru Sunrise, Climb and Base Tour (Y18) or for the non-climbers, the Uluru Sunrise and Guided Cultural Walk (Y41). Both tours include sunrise at Uluru, a visit to Mutitjulu Waterhole and the Uluru - Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre. See pages 12 & 13 for more itinerary details. This evening view sunset and the changing colours of Uluru while enjoying nibbles and a complimentary glass of wine.
Day 3: Kings Canyon - Alice Springs
Travel to Kings Canyon. Climb to the canyon rim for superb views of Watarrka National Park (for those with a good level of fitness, supportive footwear essential). Alternatively explore the canyon floor (an easier, shady walk). Travel to Alice Springs or Ayers Rock Resort this afternoon.
