Tower Lodge is a luxurious small hotel set within the heart of Australia's famous Hunter Valley wine region, just two hours drive north of Sydney.

The Lodge is an exclusive haven that boasts 12 extraordinary guestrooms, plus an intimate lounge and bar, baronial dining room, cosy library, state-of-the art meeting room plus impressive recreational facilities. These include The Dinks an 18-hole pitch and putt golf course, a 1.6 km walking track, a heated pool, a sauna, gym as well as a massage treatment room.

Along with the renowned Robert's Restaurant and the highly acclaimed Tower Estate Winery and the all- new Blaxlands Inn, Tower Lodge completes the perfect offering that is Tower Estate - a place dedicated to the enjoyment of the finer things in life! This is the passion of the late Len Evans OBE OA, a celebrity that was  at the pinnacle of the wine and gourmet scene within Australia for decades.

Relaxation is the catch-cry. Guests can laze around the outdoor heated pool, enjoy a soothing massage and sauna, curl up to read a book on their Lodge Room lounge or balcony or recline in the Library with a volume or two. The Dinks is the Lodge's challenging 18-hole mini putting golf course available only to guests and there is a walking track around the Estate for those that want more activity.

Tower Lodge's elegant dining room is for the exclusive use of our house guests. Breakfast is served under the imposing two-storey window in the dining room with views across to the beautiful Brokenback Range. The cloistered courtyard is also a tranquil setting in the summer months for breakfast or evening drinks.

Boasting one of the most extensive cellars, The Lodge guest lounge and bar is open continuously serving the wines of Tower Estate as well as aged Hunter wines, imported Champagnes and a range of malt whiskies and cognacs.

Tower Lodge Room Information.

Tower Lodge is the only truly unique small five-star luxury hotel in the Hunter Valley region, accommodating a maximum of 24 people at any one time. This low-rise Spanish Mission-style structure is not only luxurious and visually sympathetic to the surrounding landscape - the service here is attentive and exemplary. Guests are totally pampered and provided with whatever they need, be it a tub of ice-cream at 3am or breakfast in bed.

The Lodge Rooms
Radiating out from Tower Lodge's central courtyard along portico passageways are just 10 individually decorated lodge rooms, plus the Oriental and the Chairman's Suite. All are furnished with antiques, treasures and collectables, rich fabrics and recycled old timbers. The rooms vary in size, but each features a bedroom area, lounge space and desk. In every room there is a music system, IDD telephone, television with pay channels and DVD, plus tea and coffee making facilities, all are non-smoking.

All 9 Lodge Rooms have king-size beds, and the other (suitable for the disabled) provides two queen beds. All have a dressing room, large bathroom with separate shower and a deep double-spa bath. For guest's comfort, the Lodge provides summer and winter bathrobes and slippers, luxurious amenities, and a professional hairdryer. Some rooms have wood burning fireplaces, one (Oriental Suite) has an outdoor plunge tub and others may have a private courtyard, a fountain or a balcony every room has its own special charm.

The Oriental Room
In addition to all the facilities and the amenities of the Lodge Rooms, this beautiful room features polished timber floors and panelling. The wall spaces embrace Chinese and Oriental artwork hanging alongside Picasso! A serene Buddha meditates at the foot of a superb king bed flanked by authentic Chinese wedding Cabinets and rice tifins. The Oriental Room also boasts a romantic wooden hot tub recessed into a private verandah.

The Chairman's Suite
The Chairman's Suite is a freestanding building complete with its own Tower. The bedroom naturally combines all the furnishing and amenities of the Lodge Rooms, and in addition features a 300-year-old, hand carved Rajasthani king bed and an opulent sitting area with a Louis XVI writing desk and chair.

The marble bathroom has a deep soaking, elevated spa bath and separate shower. Unlike the other Lodge guestrooms, the Chairman's Suite has a separate sitting room. This chamber provides an ambient reading space with two wing back leather chairs placed resplendently at the hearth - a gorgeous winter spot!
