Fraser Island Barges

 

Barges leave the mainland near Hervey Bay and Rainbow Beach every day at regular intervals.

Barges from Hervey Bay region are scheduled and leave srtickly on time. Be there some 20 minutes before the departure time as it take some time to load the vehicles.

The Rainbow Beach barges go back and forth so just arrive and line up.

URANGAN, HERVEY BAY

FRASER DAWN
Departs Urangan, Hervey Bay:
Daily: 8.30am
April to August: 3.30pm
September to March: 4.00pm

Departs Moon Point, Fraser Island:
Daily: 9.30am
April to August: 4.30pm
September to March: 5.00pm

RAINBOW VENTURE AND FRASER EXPLORER
This popular way to cross onto Fraser Island from Rainbow Beach takes only 10 minutes. The Barges travel to Fraser Island and Back between dawn and dusk. Line up and jump on.

Departure times from River Heads ( Hervey Bay) daily at:
8.30 am, 10.15 am and 3.30 pm

Departure times from Wanggoolba Creek, Fraser Island daily at:
9.00 am, 2.30 pm and 4.00 pm

KINGFISHER BAY BARGE
Departure times from River Heads daily at:
7.15 am, 12.30am and 3.00pm

Departure times from Kingfisher Bay:
8.30 am, 2.00pm and 4.00pm
