Day 1: Whitsundays: Meet your Contiki crew and fellow travellers on Long Island this afternoon. Resort (D)
Maybe take the 'Sailing the Whitsundays' tour option as an alternative to 2 days Island Resort stay, you can spend 2 days sailing the Whitsundays. Swim, snorkel, or laze your way around this tropical paradise, on board a flotilla yacht. Book in conjunction with your East Coast tour to guarantee a place onboard.

 Days 2-3: Whitsundays: Time to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and great amenities of Long Island. Feeling energetic, why not go bushwalking, play tennis or beach volleyball, take to the water with a snorkel or a jet ski? Want to relax? Then unwind on the palm-lined beach, have a massage, or sip cocktails on the verandah as you watch another perfect sunset. Resort
Day 4: Whitsundays to Cairns: Today, head north to the cosmopolitan city of Cairns, home to action, the reef and plenty of fun.
Please Note: Today we may substitute the coach travel along the coast with a flight from the Whitsundays to Cairns. When we do this the flight is included in the prices shown. (B) Resort
Days 5-6: Cairns: For the adventurous a chance to do some white water rafting on the rapids of the Tully River, or take the opportunity to visit the famous Outer Barrier Reef aboard a high-speed catamaran. Why not scuba dive amidst amazingly colourful tropical fish? Or if you prefer, maybe spend the days at leisure doing some shopping in town. In the evening we’ll check out more tropical wildlife at one of Cairns’ nightclubs! (B) Resort
Day 7: Cairns to Cape Tribulation:This morning we visit Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Centre and Kuranda to appreciate the beauty of the Atherton Tablelands. We then head for a swim at Mossman Gorge before crossing the Daintree River. From here we drive up into a world heritage listed rainforest. Awesome! (D) Resort
 Day 8: Cape Tribulation: The opposite of tribulation. Today we’ll explore the lush Daintree Rainforest and Cape Tribulation National Park. A ‘must do’ is a dip in one of the many swimming holes before we head back to Cape Tribulation Beach. (B) Resort
Day 9: Cape Tribulation to Cairns:Crossing the Daintree River, we leave the heritage listed rainforest to visit Port Douglas, the celebrated beach resort town of the ‘rich’! This afternoon we’ll visit the AJ Hackett Bungy Jump for any brave souls. Then its back to Cairns where its time to say a final farewell as your tour ends upon our return. (B)
Please note: Due to limited luggage space available on the 4 wheel drive section of this tour you will need to pack a small soft bag. Storage is available for your regular luggage.
