More choice, more freedom, more time .... On an AAT Kings Small Group Outback Adventure you can venture into the most remote and spectacular areas of Australia to experience the awesome beauty of the outback. You will travel in AAT Kings' all-terrain vehicles which are designed to handle the roughest country while still ensuring your comfort. They feature air-conditioning, Australia wide radio contact, fully equipped kitchen and a public address/music system. AAT Kings supplies you with all the best equipment for a comfortable and hassle free holiday including; a sleeping bag and a Camping Essentials Kit (which are yours to keep); and a foam mattress. Your accommodation is in one of AAT Kings' custom designed, two person safari tents, which stand 2.3 meters high and feature mosquito netting and window ventilation. You do need to erect our own tent each evening but the easy to assemble design makes this a simple task. To be prepared for our outback experience, be sure to bring warm clothing, sunscreen and sturdy footwear because weather in the Australian bush can change quickly and dramatically - days may be hot but nights can be very cold. Being properly prepared means you can enjoy your holiday whatever the conditions. On a Small Group Outback Adventure you will travel with a specialist Driver/Guide and an experienced Safari Cook who happily take care of most things but your offers of assistance around camp are always appreciated. Many people find helping out adds to the true camping experience and is a great way to get to know fellow campers. During your adventure your Driver/Guide will provide fascinating commentary, local facts and around the clock assistance. Nearly all meals are included on your Outback Adventure. Our galleys are well stocked with local produce and your experienced AAT Kings Safari Cook prepares a variety of healthy and hearty meals for you to enjoy. Your day begins with a healthy breakfast with plenty to choose from. At lunchtime we make the most of our spectacular surroundings and dine outdoors on sandwiches, salads, or other picnic style fare. As the sun sets share happy hour drinks and nibbles before enjoying a tasty two course dinner and settling back to tell stories around the campfire. On an AAT Kings Small Group Outback Adventure you will stay in superb locations such as the Bungle Bungle National Park, Thursday Island, Kakadu National Park, Cable Beach, and Katherine Gorge. Most campsites feature showers, toilets and laundry facilities while wilderness bush camps have very basic facilities but allow you to see the true Aussie bush at its best. On some Outback Adventures we also offer you the opportunity to spend a night in a comfortable local hotel.
